Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Karen graduated from East Carolina University and received her Masters in English from the University of Texas - Pan American. She has been an NBC-TV weather girl and enjoyed hosting her own TV show in three states. She has been a top performing real estate agent since 1998. She has earned the coveted CRS degree (Certified Residential Specialist ) held by only 10% of realtors nationwide.

In April 2024, Ms. Jorgensen was presented with a Top Producer Award by the Orlando Regional Realtors Association for the 5th year in a row. She also earned the “Super Agent” Award in 2024. In her spare time, she is a college Associate English Professor. Ms. Jorgensen enjoys water skiing, walking-running a 5K several times a week, writing novels, oil painting, and playing the piano.
